Principal Software EngineerMorgantown, WV

I build production systems from the ground up.

Principal Software Engineer at Iconic Air (Asuene USA) and Chief Tech Advisor at Plugin Promotions. I design and ship production systems end to end: offline-first field platforms for energy operators, a custom operating system for venue hardware, and consumer apps installed millions of times.

About

I work on systems where failure has a real cost. At Iconic Air, field technicians record methane-leak surveys at remote sites with no signal, and those records decide whether an operator meets its Clean Air Act obligations. At Plugin, hundreds of devices in bars and restaurants have to stay online and up to date without anyone on site to fix them.

I started in enterprise banking at Oracle, moved into research software at West Virginia University, and now lead architecture across mobile, backend and device software. I also review applied-AI research for medical informatics journals and judge AI hackathons.
